When you use AAA for car battery replacement, we do the work for you. No hidden fees or hoops to jump through. Responsible recycling is automatically built into your service.
Using an EPA-approved recycling center, we recycle every lead battery we replace. Our primary battery manufacturer, East Penn Canada and East Penn Manufacturing in Pennsylvania are dedicated to environmental health and safety. For over 75 years they have contributed to the environmental stewardship of our planet through green initiatives and their state-of-the-art recycling facilities, using the most advanced technology available to reduce lead emissions into the air, wastewater, and storm water.
AAA is dedicated to protecting our environment and ensuring great road trips for generations to come. A lead car battery usually lasts for three to six years, depending on a variety of factors. Extreme heat or cold; harsh wear and tear; short, infrequent drives; and age, all affect the lifespan of your battery. When the time comes to replace it, a AAA Battery Service Technician comes to you – at work, at home, almost anywhere – to deliver and install it onsite. Plus, in keeping with our commitment to greater sustainability for the planet, AAA Technicians will also safely recycle your old battery.

It began with a meeting on Nov. 5, 1947. Six AAA board members and staff huddled at Washington, D.C.’s famed Mayflower Hotel to forge something new. One of AAA’s primary missions since its founding in 1902 is keeping roadways safe. With the surge in people and cars in the United States during that time, AAA knew it would need to expand its traffic safety efforts.
If wanderlust has your imagination running overtime and you want to plan something extraordinary, consider one of these timeless rail journeys, where the on-board experience might be as memorable as the panorama of natural beauty unfolding around you.
